The agent of Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi has asserted that his client is ready to move to a top club, but admits that the Italian’s future is yet to be decided.
Berardi has recently been linked with a move to the likes of Inter as well as other major clubs across Europe, however, his future could be in Turin after Juventus inserted a buy-back clause in Berardi’s contract last summer.
“To clarify, Domenico is a player owned by Sassuolo, who he has a contract with until 2019,” said Simone Seghedoni to FCInterNews.
“Juventus can buy him back and the relationship between the two clubs is good. However, his future is yet to be decided.
“Sassuolo will definitely do everything to keep hold of Domenico and their coach [Eusebio] Di Francesco, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of them both staying in Emilia-Romagna for another year.
“But many teams are interested in Berardi, both Italian and foreign. He is ready for a top club, he has the ability and maturity to play at that level.
“He’s a 21-year-old, and one of the strongest out there in his position. I have to make sure he can continue to give his best, but above all continue his growth.
“He needs to play and his eventual choice of club will be based on playing time.”
