Paris St Germain v Celtic 19.45 GMT kickoff
Whilst PSG have done the job and qualified already, they won’t be lying down tonight. Bayern Munich still have a chance to pip them to the top spot and they’ll be wanting to put in a solid performance tonight.
Celtic, on the other hand, will be playing to try to secure a place in the Europa league. They could hardly have drawn a tougher bunch of opponents. Especially after their 5-0 home defeat to PSG.
The home side are on the crest of a wave with 4 from 4 and knocking in 17 goals in the process. They are also the only side in the competition with a clean sheet in all games played. Celtic have not put a goal past them in their past 3 meetings and have lost all three. To add to Celtic’s woes, they don’t have a great away record in this competition either.
PSG ran riot in their away leg and it’s easy to see them winning comfortably this evening. In order to stop this, there will need to be some big changes for Celtic. Though they do possess some quality players, they are unlikely to make a big enough change to cope with PSG here.
Paris St Germain v Celtic– summary
We can see Celtic playing defensively early on, to try to stop the PSG momentum and the tactic could be to sneak a late goal. The home side should be capable of dealing with this and whilst we won’t expect the score to be quite so emphatic as their last meet up, PSG should be a couple of goals too good here.
F88 prediction: PSG to win
